Friday 2 October 2026National Poetry DayTo celebrate National Poetry Day, we were delighted to welcome visiting poet Kathryn Beevor to Castle Hill Academy. Kathryn led inspiring poetry workshops with pupils across the school, encouraging everyone to explore their creativity, play with language and express their ideas through poetry. Every pupil had the opportunity to create their own poem, and Kathryn was incredibly impressed by the children's enthusiasm, creativity and, in particular, the thoughtful and insightful questions they asked. It was a wonderful day celebrating the power of words and discovering the poet in all of us!
Wednesday 23 September 2026Team GB Gymnast Visit - Sam MostowfiToday, we were delighted to welcome Team GB gymnast Sam Mostowfi to Castle Hill Academy! Sam led our pupils in an exciting activity circuit before inspiring them in a special assembly about the importance of never giving up, believing in yourself and persevering when things feel difficult. Pupils were also treated to an impressive gymnastics demonstration – a truly inspiring morning!

Monday 11 November 2024Remembering on Armistice DayPupils and staff at CHA marked Armistice Day with a two-minute silence today led by our pupil leaders in order to remember the servicemen and women and their sacrifices.

Wednesday 9 October 2024Year 1 History LearningIn their History lessons, Year 1 have been learning about ‘Changes within living memory’. As part of this, pupils enjoyed an interactive workshop about how toys have changed over time.
Tuesday 8 October 2024Kindness assembly led by our Anti-Bullying AmbassadorsOur Anti-Bullying Ambassadors recently delivered a thought-provoking assembly about the importance of being kind. Kindness is one of our Golden Threads at CHA and they provided pupils with everyday examples of how they can be even more kind than they already are. We are very proud of our ABAs for spreading such an important message.
Friday 4 October 2024Drumming in our Oak classesAll our pupils in the Oak have weekly drumming lessons as part of the extra-curricular activities. Some of you may remember their exceptional performance at the family BBQ in May. They are already working hard towards their next performance. We look forward to it very much!
